Geographic-Information-System-Based Risk Assessment of Flooding in Changchun Urban Rail Transit System

The frequent occurrence of urban flooding in recent years has resulted significant damage to ground-level infrastructure and poses a substantial threat the metro system. As central city’s core transportation network for public transit, this can have unpredictable consequences on travel convenience safety. Therefore, assessing risk system is utmost importance. This study first its kind employ comprehensive natural disaster assessment theory, establishing an database with 22 indicators. We propose GIS-based method combined analytical hierarchy process (AHP) improved entropy weight comprehensively evaluate flood Changchun City’s systems China. includes total nine lines, including those that are currently operational as well planning construction phases, situated six areas City. In study, we utilize regional level within 500 m buffer zone lines represent proposed assesses Changchun’s rail transit results reveal over 30% located high-risk areas, mainly concentrated densely populated economically prosperous western part city. To validate assessment, vectorized inundation points overlaid them results, achieving model accuracy 90%. no large-scale events occurred system, employed receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves verify model, resulting rate 91%. These findings indicate present highly reliable provide decision makers scientific basis mitigating future disasters.
